Arm the track for recording, hit record and you should be recording what’s going into your selected focusrite input. But to go into more detail, I downloaded the free trial for Cubase Elements 8, and I bought the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface, and I’m using a MacBook Pro. Basically, there’s no sound coming from Cubase. I can’t see my interface from Cubase but it all appears to be set up properly in Win 11. I installed the latest drivers from the Focusrite website. Cubase version 12 Pro (12.0.20) Problem I am trying to connect my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 Gen 1. Then from within Cubase you would select the ASIO4ALL, and you should be good to go. Specs i9 processor, 64GB RAM and 2x 2TB SSDs. As input to the audio track, select the bus you just created. Hopefully you guys can help me with this problem. I've never used it, but my understanding is that ASIO4ALL will allow you to select multiple audio interfaces (therefore, both your 2i2 & NT-USB, in addition to built in motherboard interfaces). To record, you create a new audio track in your project window (stereo or mono as required). If it’s stereo (keyboard, e-drums etc), same thing but with a stereo bus obviously, and you assign 2 inputs to it. If you are recording a mono source (mic, guitar etc), create a mono bus and assign the input to it you connected your instrument to. You don’t say what you are recording and which inputs you are using for that. which Audio Driver to configure when I opened Cubase for the first time. I realize this image shows the outputs, but it works exactly the same for inputs. Finally, all audio playback will occur from the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 device. Hi sorry im rather new here, anyway i’ll get right to the point, the link that comes with the focusrite scarlett studio bundle seems to be broken, or should i say the download link of cubase le 8 it says error, archive either wrong format or damaged. In the image, this would delete ‘Stereo Out’ 4’. To delete a bus, just click on the bus name and press delete on your keyboard. (ignore the red circle, this is not my image ). It would help if you mentioned which version of Cubase you are using, but usually your VST connections look something like this: If you start a random youtube video and you have sound then you can forget about that last bit. The last bit (about the default playback devices in windows or mac) is only necessary for sound in and output for software that doesn’t use the focusrite ASIO driver.
